Rooftop tent "sleep capacity" numbers are set by the manufacturer based on square footage — not how comfortable it actually is to sleep there. We've set up and slept in every tent we sell, so use the guide below for what we've actually found comfortable, not just the spec sheet.
1-Person: The Geo Solo comfortably fits someone over 6' tall with room to spare — 36% more headroom than a standard tent, at 51" interior height. At 120 lbs, it's the lightest of the lineup, with a 60-second setup.
2-Person: The ROKK Overland 2P is a 4-season build with a 2.5" foam mattress and a 79.5" x 48.5" sleeping area. At 149 lbs, it's a step up in weight from the 1-person but provides more room for 1-2 adults.
3-Person: The 23Zero Walkabout 62 is rated for 3+ adults on a queen-sized bed, but in our experience it's a better fit for 2 adults and 1 kid. At 152 lbs, it's close in weight to the 2-person despite the extra floor space.
4-Person: The 23Zero Walkabout 72 series offers a cal-king-sized bed built for 4 adults — but we've found it's most comfortable as 2 adults and 2 kids. At 165 lbs, it's the heaviest in the lineup, so double-check your rack's dynamic weight rating before sizing up.
