Front Runner Camping Chair

If you are into overlanding then you probably know that saving space and being organized is crucial. A lot of overlanding gear has the ability to break down in convenient ways without sacrificing durability. Taking up roughly the same amount of space as a laptop Front Runners camping chair takes up less space then a regular camping chair and compacts to 1/16th the size it is when it is set up. On the bottom part of the chair it has two velcro straps to keep it secularly closed. There are 2 pockets, one for a drink on the right and key’s, bear spray or your phone on the left. 

Now that you have heard about the pro’s of the chair what are the cons?

It is really hard to think of the cons of this chair and if we had to think of something it would be that it folds in so many places that there could be multiple points of failure. However, being constructed from 600D Polyester and steel we don’t really see that happening any time soon. I believe it will last far longer than any traditional camping chair. I have been standing on mine and tossing it around and haven’t had any problems.  

One of the biggest con’s to Front Runners Camping chair is figuring out how to open it the first time but, but once you figure it out it is all smooth sailing. It opens up in 3 simple steps. It doesn’t have a lot of space for items but honestly I have never really put anything in my chair besides my keys (where I then forget and spend way too much time trying to find them.) 

How to open the Front Runner Camping Chair?

First, take off the velcro straps. There are 2, one on the side and one on the bottom. (The legs will then extend)

Next step, fold up the arms and pull them away from each other. 

Last, fold up the back part of the chair (sequence below).

 I use my chair almost every weekend, predominantly for sitting around a lantern drinking beers (due to fire restrictions) or when I am taking a break at my truck from fishing. I will always have it in my truck and recommend it to friends who might need a camping chair upgrade.
