Originally developed for the Japanese Market in the late 90's, this is our favorite stove and one of the reasons we started carrying Kovea products. It's simple, but low with a wide pot support for excellent stability. The integral igniter works great, and the flow knob provides precise control of the flame to fine tune simmering. It also comes with a simple plastic carrying case and utilizes the inexpensive nozzle style butane canisters which mount inside the side compartment making this stove completely self contained, portable and much nicer to use then most small camp stoves which require a fuel line attached to an external canister. It features high grade powder coating and an enamel coated pot support. The safety system detects high pressure and separates the gas canister automatically. At $35 you can't afford to not have one of these in your kit.

  •  Fuel:  Butane (Nozzle Type Gas Canister)
  • Consumption:  140g/h (1,656kcal / 6,575BTU / 1.92kW)
  • Powerful flame
  • One touch piezo ignition
  • Pot supporter

Can’t say enough good things about Mike and the Spirit team. Definitely the go-to shop for all things camp / overland / outdoor. He helped me figure out what roof rack would work best for my 4Runner, and the rooftop tent + awning that fit my budget and what I was looking for. Don’t miss out on their camp accessories and gear either — 5 stars all around.

Mike over at Spirit is an absolute legend in the overlanding space here in Colorado. He’s been in the industry long enough to easily identify a fad versus a trend and is passionate about quality products that will make your time outdoors better. He knows the products he sells and is committed to finding the perfect fit for your adventure rig. I can’t recommend him and his team enough.

Mike and Spirit of 1876 are top notch, he's the most knowledgeable person I've found in the overland/accessory market and he'll tell you what products are worth your while, and which are not based on real world experience... He sells only the best products, and doesn't sell what's popular just because XYZ company put a bunch of money into marketing. Trust Mike with your next purchase of anything in the overland accessory field, he won't steer you wrong.
